Olive oil seminar: the German-speaking “guru” in olive oil, Dieter Oberg, has agreed to offer an exclusive olive oil seminar together with Organic Farming Italy . A unique opportunity for all olive oil enthusiasts and amateur chefs. After the seminar, you will be able to assess the quality of olive oil according to current EU/IOC regulations, understand what is written on the labels and have tasted and tested for yourself what flavors can be found in olive oil. And you can do this with 15-18 olive oils from all over Europe.

Contents of the olive oil seminar

In the one-day seminar you will learn everything you need to know about olive oil and you will learn the sensory testing of olive oil according to the DOP standard. Oberg has headed the Informationsgemeinschaft Olivenöl for 35 years and founded and headed the German Olive Oil Panel (DOP) for almost 20 years, which works according to the globally valid sensory test standards. He worked for 15 years as an olive oil contractor for the European Commission. Many institutes and media such as TV stations, Stiftung Warentest, Ökotest, International Olive Council, olive oil producers and marketers have made use of his in-depth knowledge. To this day, he is a sought-after judge in many olive oil competitions such as PremioBiol or the Berlin Global Olive Oil Award. There are very few such competent experts in Germany when it comes to olive oil.
